What To Expect
YOU are welcome at First UCC!
No matter who you are, who you love, or what you believe; questioning, certain, broken, joyful, and everything in between; whether you’ve always gone to church, have never stepped foot inside one, or haven’t been in a long, long time: Because you are here, this community is whole and perfect.
Sunday Mornings
First UCC worships at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings, in person and online. Worship follows a similar format from week to week, including music, readings, a children’s message, a sermon, prayer, and blessing. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month. September through May there is ASL interpretation on the second and fourth Sundays. Music ranges from classical to gospel, and you’ll have the chance to enjoy the sound of our historic 1876 Johnson Organ. We gather for worship bound together by a covenant and a common purpose, not by uniformity of belief or doctrine. Read more about our values here.
Beyond Sundays
There are various ways to get involved at First UCC, from spiritual formation groups for adults and activities for kids, to service and justice opportunities. Learn about these opportunities throughout this website, and visit the Calendar for an up-to-date list of events and activities.
