Rest & Renewal Yoga this Summer

First UCCers of all ages and abilities are invited to participate in free yoga this summer! Thanks to sabbatical funds granted from the Lilly Endowment for rest and renewal, you are invited to come to yoga on the lawn, in person after worship, or at your leisure any time in an online, on-demand platform.  The online platform features 315 yoga videos which can be searched through and sorted by length, style, and focus. The on-demand access will be available through the months of June, July, and August. On demand yoga is free and available for the first 25 people to sign up by May 26th. Dr. Todd Nippoldt, retired director of Mayo Clinic’s Transgender and Intersex Specialty Care Clinic will share information about gender-affirming care, gender expression, social disparities and the goals of medical intervention. Forest Bathing Experiences and Retreat this Summer

First UCCers of all ages and abilities are invited to try forest bathing this summer! Look for an upcoming experience at church that doesn’t require walking, as well as two walks, and a retreat this summer at Mount Olivet Retreat Center, July 19-20! Ruth’s House provides transitional shelter and support for women and children in crisis. If you need help, please call them at 507-332-2236.

Donations (monetary or physical items) and volunteers are also always needed!

Sarah’s House is an offshoot of Ruth’s house and is a safe sober living space in Northfield. It is designed to help women transition to healthy independent living.

Community Action Center (CAC) is a wonderful resource for community members who are looking for aid in any shape or form.

CAC has branches in Northfield and Faribault. They are always accepting volunteers and donations!
