Letters of Love Campaign

During the month of February, a display about our “Letters of Love” campaign will be set up in the Fellowship Hall. You are invited to drop in notes from home or use cards within the display. We will be collecting cards through February 28th and all the cards will be shipped to First UCC Springfield on March 3rd. Thank you for your compassion and support!

Perlman Teaching Museum at Carleton

This Winter, the Perlman Teaching Museum presents Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme: Only Sounds that Tremble Through Us. The exhibition features three bodies of work which explore diverse traditions of communal song and dance across the Arab world. The central moving image piece, Only Sounds that Tremble Through Us (2020-22), which debuted at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2022, builds upon the artists’ video archive of song and dance — primarily from communities in Iraq, Palestine, Syria, and Yemen — which the artists collected from social media.

Ruth’s House provides transitional shelter and support for women and children in crisis. If you need help, please call them at 507-332-2236.

Donations (monetary or physical items) and volunteers are also always needed!

Sarah’s House is an offshoot of Ruth’s house and is a safe sober living space in Northfield. It is designed to help women transition to healthy independent living.

Community Action Center (CAC) is a wonderful resource for community members who are looking for aid in any shape or form.

CAC has branches in Northfield and Faribault. They are always accepting volunteers and donations!

Stepsister AA

Are you or someone you know struggling with alcohol addiction?

You are not alone.

Stepsisters of Northfield are here for you. Meetings are held on Wednesdays at 12:00 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church.

NA Meetings

Narcotics Anonymous meetings are held here at First UCC on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
