Christopher Brunelle has served First UCC as its Director of Music since 2003, conducting the Senior Choir and organizing the musical life of the church. His Congregational roots go back to his childhood at Plymouth Church in Minneapolis. After graduating from Carleton College, he sang in the King’s College Choir of Cambridge, England, the first American to do so. He is a former member of the VocalEssence Ensemble Singers and for several decades has served as a collaborative pianist at St. Olaf College. His publications include two volumes of The Church Year in Limericks (MorningStar Music Publishers). He is also part of the Alumni Relations team at Carleton College, and his wife and he have three marvelous children as well as a genial yellow Labrador.
