Catherine is an Artist in Residence at St. Olaf College where she teaches organ and music theory as a faculty member in the music department.
A St. Olaf graduate herself from 1987, Catherine holds master's and doctoral degrees from the Eastman School of Music and has won numerous prizes for her playing. She performs regularly at St. Olaf and throughout the United States and Canada, and she has just returned to Northfield after a summer serving as the guest organist at Grace Church in New York City.
Catherine brings deep expertise with choirs and congregations, children and students, and we are glad to have someone who is thoroughly familiar with traditional hymns and is willing and able to branch out into other traditions as well. Catherine, in turn, as admired our church for its community service and the quality of its worship, and she looks forward to working and worshiping with us.
