Beyond Land Acknowledgment Field Trip

The Beyond Land Acknowledgment (BLA) Team invites you on a field trip on Wednesday, August 9 at 9:30 a.m. We’ll be traveling to Shakopee Hoçokata ti, the Mdewakanton Dakota Community Center. A public exhibit there provides visitors with an Indigenous cultural experience that enhances their knowledge and understanding of the Mdewakanton past and present.

Carpooling from the church will leave at 9:30 a.m. for the 45-minute drive to Shakopee. The exhibit is indoors, is easy walking, good for all ages, and perfect in hot or wet weather. Admission fees range from $5-8 depending on age.
