From the UCC and “Join the Movement”
Dear Movement-Makers,
As we prepare for the annual observance of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day which coincides with the Inauguration of the 47th President of the United States, we may find ourselves wondering, as Martin Luther King did eloquently nearly 60 years ago, “Where do we go from here: chaos or community?”
At Join the Movement, we are finding hope in both honest and illuminating assessments of where we are now, and in the many ways that communities across the nation are rising up and coming together to prepare and respond. So we wanted to share with you some events that Join the Movement and our movement partners are hosting this January that could offer you seeds of hope and visions for where we go from here.
- January 23-February 27, 1 pm ET – Truth in Tough Times: Global Voices of Liberation, a course featuring global leaders in liberation theology—including Sarojini Nadar, Anthony G.
