Consecration Sunday is November 10! As is our tradition, we will invite members to bring their estimates of giving (pledge cards) to church that day and hand them in during the offertory. It is our way of acknowledging a commitment to our collective faith journey.
Following worship, we will convene in the Assembly Room for a soup lunch, which will include several kinds of soup, bread and bars. All are invited.
By now you should have received this year’s stewardship packet. It highlights the five major areas of our ministry – Worshiping Together; Growing in Our Faith; Nurturing Our Community; Creating a More Just World; and Maintaining Our Church Home.
The Church Council hopes to expand our work in several key areas by finding the resources to add a part-time leader for children and youth and to invest more in the oversight of building maintenance. Achieving this vision will depend on the success of this fall’s stewardship campaign.
We hope you keep this vision and these goals in mind as you consider your pledge for 2025. If you cannot be with us on November 10, pledge cards can be returned by mailing them to the church office or dropping them off during regular office hours.
Again, thank you for being an active part of our First UCC community. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or other members of the stewardship team: Brad Hoff, Marie Gery, Shawn Neubel and Annika Reister, or the church office.
