The exhibit is based on the documentary film “Warrior Women: Honoring the Women of Wounded Knee” that explores the central role Indigenous women played in the Wounded Knee Occupation of 1973: coordinating logistics, feeding protestors, healing the wounded, managing communications, founding the Independent Oglala Nation, and taking up arms to protect it. The exhibit is open until Friday, November 8th. See it before it leaves!
