The Open and Affirming Team is committed to making our church open and affirming to all, regardless of gender, gender identity or expression, age, economic or marital status, race, physical or mental ability, cultural heritage, or sexual orientation. In our efforts to do so, we have been learning about gender history, legislative challenges to LGBTQ+ persons, and other topics. This presentation will continue that learning path, provide for open discussion and frank questions, and continue our pursuit of understanding of and for one another.
Matt Lewellyn-Otten from OutFront Minnesota, will lead and present a conversation surrounding Transgender Issues. He will cover gender terms (like non-binary and gender fluid) as well as offer an intro into queer theology. Please join us on Sunday, April 23 at 11:45 a.m. for this important discussion.
