 The earth day celebration of 2012, hosted by First UCC, kicked off to a great start with a sustainable gardening project organized by the high school youth group. Partnering up with a Carleton-based program called “Free Food, Help Yourself”, high-school aged youth constructed two raised-bed gardens full of vegetables which can be enjoyed by [...] First UCC is responsible for delivering Meals on Wheels once again. Volunteers are needed from March 18th through March 31st. Volunteers report to the Northfield Hospital just before Noon to pick up coolers to deliver. This is a commitment of about an hour.
