A new piece of art has been made for our sanctuary!  It was made collaboratively by Michon Weeks of Watertown, MN and Christie Hawkins, a member of our church.  The piece will first be on display at St. Olaf’s Flaten Art Museum in the exhibit ‘Artists on the Hill’, with an opening reception this Friday, Sept. 14, 6-8 pm.  All are welcome to attend.

The two artists, who have volunteered their time on the project, made the piece specifically for our sanctuary.  It is a woven piece made of wire and hand-dyed wool, and was inspired by Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount–‘look at the birds of the air’ and ‘consider the lilies of the field’.
