Civil Rights activist Fannie Lou Hamer coined the phrase: “I am sick and tired of being sick and tired!” She was talking about a system that was oppressive, racist, discriminatory and unjust. Fannie Lou Hamer died from heart failure brought on by cancer, hypertension and diabetes. Fannie Lou Hamer did not have health care!
We must continue to move together though weary we may be. We must steadily advance the cause that health care must be realized for all in this country.
